This social process was inspired by the philosophy of Regional Autonomy of the Caribbean Coast and particularly fed on the mission and vision of URACCAN, in order to contribute to the strengthening of indigenous rights and the construction of new paradigms of community leadership; increase the human capacities of their communities. He started in 2003 and graduated young leaders from the municipalities of Waspam, Puerto Cabezas, Bonanza, Siuna, Rosita and Prinzapolka from the most remote communities and without access to secondary education.

In general, adolescents and young students from different generations come from families in rural communities in extreme poverty; aggravated by the geographical conditions of the Caribbean Coast: climate factor, topography and geographical isolation.
