URACCAN prepares, for the second consecutive year, for the Latin American Innovation Rally, edition 2020. This event consists of an international competition that promotes open innovation, in the engineering faculties and schools of Latin America.

In this regard, this 7 September 2020, URACCAN formed a General Commission that will carry out all the preparations for this international event, which will take place in the four campuses of the university, as confirmed by the MSc. Víctor Zúniga, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at URACCAN.

This General Commission consists of: the representative of External Cooperation, Dr. William Flores; the academic director, MSc. Leticia Castillo; the Director of Student Welfare, Mr. Lesther Molina; Msc. Bernadine Dixon, Director, Center for Multi-Ethnic Women's Studies and Information (CEIMM); Msc. Gilberto Artola, Director of the Institute of Intercultural Communication (ICI); Msc. Marlon Peralta, Director of the Information Technology and Institutional Communication System (SITICI); and the Victor Zúniga master's degree. This group of specialists will be led by URACCAN rector Dr. Alta Hooker.

From the structuring of this commission, the event is disseminated to form the teams and prepare them on topics of innovation, entrepreneurship, communication, gender cultural perspective, stress management and teamwork management, detailed the Zúniga master's degree.

The event opens on October 2, at 9:00 a.m., and ends on October 3rd, at 1:00 p.m. "That day the challenges to be given are defined, the teams will already be shaped, but the challenges are known until that day and in 28 hours they have to give them a solution" , argued the Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Each headquarters will involve 4 teams, of which the best proposals will be selected, which will be sent to the national commission of the country, and then choose the proposals to be sent at latin American level.

Contrary to last year, this time all public universities, intercultural community universities attached to the National Council of Universities (UNC), will compete, joining private universities for the first time.

The Latin American Innovation Rally will be coordinated by an Executive Committee made up of representatives of the organizing institutions of Argentina, Mexico and Uruguay.
