UNC session on URACCAN Waspam extension

With a warm welcome, URACCAN authorities, led by the university's magnificent rector, Dr. Alta Hooker Blandford, welcomed members of the National Council of Universities (UNC), who are session at URACCAN Waspam extension.

The UNC visit in the Northern Caribbean of Nicaragua aims to accompany URACCAN in the process of opening the buildings that were rebuilt in the Bilwi compound, affected by hurricanes Eta and Iota.

In addition, the Autonomous Regional Council of the North Caribbean Coast will hand over the Order of Autonomy to the University of the Autonomous Regions of the North Caribbean Coast (URACCAN) for its resilience to disasters caused by Mother Nature, as well as promoting Intercultural Higher Education with relevance and quality in the peoples of the Caribbean Coast.

In this same sense, this distinction will also be given to the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua (UNAN-Managua), National Autonomous University of Nicaragua (UNAN-León) and the UNC, respectively.
