Bilwi Municipal League of Federated Softball in the men's and women's categories

On monday morning, URACCAN's deputy general vice-chancellor and vice-chancellor of the Bilwi venue delivered the sports uniforms that URACCAN's representatives will wear on softball teams in the Federated Municipal League in Bilwi, Puerto Cabezas, in both the men's and women's ranks.

The PhD. Enrique Cordón, vice-chancellor of URACCAN Bilwi precinct, said that part of the training of professionals of the First Intercultural Community University in Latin America is healthy recreation, including sport in all disciplines. "The fact that you have the name URACCAN in front of you means that you are the face of the university, that is why we are asking you to be responsible people and to accompany URACCAN processes outside the university area," the vice-chancellor explained.

While the MA. Yuri Zapata Webb, vice-chancellor general of URACCAN, said great efforts are being made from the university to boost the sport. "In these contexts of COVID-19 and budget reduction, it is not easy to maintain such activities, however, the greatest institutional effort is made to ensure that they also feel our support," the academic said.

It should be mentioned that these sports activities started this past weekend, where the men's category had the opportunity to play 3 matches, losing two games and winning 1. For their part, the women's team will make their debut this coming Saturday, May 23.
