New proposal for intercultural communication

In URACCAN Bluefields campus was held ordinary session of the University Council of Campus (CUR), the highest decision-making instance in the territory, to address topics related to the institutional work of this house of higher education and present the regulations of intercultural communication.

In the activity, the Regulations on organization and operation of intercultural communication laboratories and the Editorial Line of Intercultural Communication of URACCAN were presented to the authorities of the CUR, by the director of the Institute of Intercultural Communication (ICI), Yulmar Montoya, and the area of dissemination of the territory.

The objective of presenting both regulations is to approve a new proposal for intercultural communication that disseminates, disseminates and disseminates all the academic processes of URACCAN and its Community actions in the territory. In this way it is hoped to promote horizontal spaces of dialogue with indigenous, Afro-descendant and mixed-race peoples on the Caribbean Coast.

These functions are aimed at articulating the work with the different levels of the institution, academic areas, institutes and centers that contribute to the good life of the towns and the university community.

It should be noted that these communication regulations are being presented by each discloser and discloser of each venue, to be approved by the CUR and then presented to the University Council (CUU).

Other agenda items

In the session, the venue administrator, MSc. Joseph Downs addressed campus maintenance budget and improvements made to the boarding school hostel, as well as sink facilities and other resources, complying with coVID-19 care protocol.

Academic areas also shared the tuition report for this second academic semester 2020; and the commitment to continue the teaching process in classrooms and virtual channels, constantly accompanying the student.

To finish, the vice-chancellor of the venue, teacher Diala López, presented general information and guidance.
