As part of URACCAN's commitment to values, humanist sense, entrepreneurship and innovation capabilities, established from its mission and mink; has initiated a process of education and contribution to the social reintegration of private and deprived of liberty in the municipality of Bluefields, within the framework of the agreement with the Ministry of the Interior and the Prison System.

In this sense, URACCAN has developed a series of actions, executed since the accompaniment of rectory; under this coordination, school supplies were donated to men and women deprived of their liberty who will begin their training process.

According to the Msc. Heidi Guillén, academic secretary of the campus, "these actions to promote Higher Education on our Caribbean Coast, are thanks to the efforts and efforts of our rector Alta Hooker, just as this project that becomes of paramount importance in the intellectual development and social reintegration of those deprived of liberty", he stressed.

He also reported that, "on Saturday, February 06, 2021, more than 50 ins start with the common semester; that is why it is very important to send this contribution of school supplies, so that they can start with this second stage, because they were already part of the propedeutic course," he explained.

Also, the regional delegate of the Ministry of the Interior, Msc. Wilfredo Jarquín expressed his appreciation to URACCAN and other instances, which are making access to education possible for the deprived of their liberty.

"It is very important for us to be able to contribute to our company; we therefore thank the university for the support and each of the efforts being made under this Convention," he concluded.
