The Academic and Economic Commissions both of the University Council of URACCAN, held this February 25 and 26 at URACCAN Las Minas, prior to the holding of the first regular session of the University Council of URACCAN that takes place on February 27 and 28, 2020 at the Siuna campus, of the Las Minas campus.

The Academy Commission addressed the issues that are related to compliance with the minimum laws established in Law 704 of the National Commission for Evaluation and Accreditation in Nicaragua, CNEA.

This was expressed by Dr. Letisia Castillo Gómez, Academic Director of URACCAN.

"Reviewing these law minimums is important as we will soon have the visit for verification of those law minimums many of them are related to the academic part," Castillo said.

Dr. Castillo Gómez said the verifiers would be conducting verification of the law minimums in the four enclosures and the four extensions.

The economic committee during its session also reviewed the 2019 budget implementation and the 2020 budget, as well as analysing a number of organizational actions for the optimization of the financial resource, as expressed by Dr Cyril Omier, coordinator of the Economic Commission.

The University Council of URACCAN is meeting on 27 and 28 February in Siuna, the agreements of the two committees are taken to this collegiate governing body for approval, as this body is the highest authority in URACCAN.
