Annual Operational Plan Reports and Security Measures

The vice-chancellor of the Bilwi compound, Enrique Cordón, PhD, held an briefing with members of the administrative guild, to report on the security measures that are being implemented in the work and academic areas of URACCAN; In addition, the report of the Annual Operational Plan (POA) and the activities carried out as a guild was presented.

Cordón began by explaining that due to the COVID-19 pandemic the modalities of classes and some group activities, they will be developed by meeting and a part through the virtual platform, but that URACCAN continues normally the administrative functioning.

"By meeting means that students will come to classes 1 or 2 times, the rest of their classes will be virtually from home, from their places as they are, but for those classes to be taken the university must continue to function, so the institution will always continue to function (...) registration is working, the library, accounting, administration, box, kitchen and everyone is giving the service, the work we have to do, all, the institutes and centers as well," Cordón said.

For her part, the teacher Ivania Padilla, representative of the administrative guild, had the opportunity to explain to her members the report of the activities carried out during the first half of 2020. In addition, Master Abner Figueroa, coordinator of the area of Institutional Planning, disclosed the level of fulfillment of the plan of activities contemplated to be fulfilled as a university campus in this first semester.

Finally, the MA. Yuri Zapata, vice-chancellor general of URACCAN, gave a warm greeting from the rector, Dr. Alta Hooker Blandford, also urged officials and civil servants to continue taking care of themselves, to continue working for the proper functioning of this house of intercultural higher education.
