Fundamental purposes for the walk of Intercultural Communication

The articulation of the work of intercultural communication for institutional walking, conceived as a tool for strengthening the autonomy of peoples, is part of the three-day agenda of concertation in the articulation workshop of the institution's communication team, which is led by rector of this house of intercultural higher education Dr. Alta Hooker Blandford.

The workshop is carried out within the framework of the project "Dialogues of knowledge and doinges strengthening the exercise of Autonomy", at the Center for Intercultural Community Innovation Slilma of URACCAN Bilwi enclosure, in which annual planning is shared, in addition to the articulation of works of communicators and communicators.

The main objective of the meeting is to identify the processes carried out in the field of intercultural communication, "advances, challenges, expectations and commitments, for the walk of institutional communication". During the workshop, various operational mechanisms are arranged to further coordinate the dissemination from the Institute of Intercultural Communication (ICI-URACCAN), as well as the accompaniment to the Communication Laboratories, (Community Radios and Community Channel).

In this sense, the PhD. Enrique Cordón, vice-chancellor of URACCAN in the Bilwi compound, in his message of welcome to the team of communicators, motivated to continue the work of the visibility of the institution's work.

Institutional articulation processes

For her part, The rector Dr. Alta Hooker stated that this type of activities are carried out in order to walk in the sense of the proper functioning of the team of communicators of the URACCAN, "we are starting the extension of the planning 2015-2019, URACCAN has already completed its planning precisely in December 2019, we are now preparing the new planning that is 10 years , 2019-2030, the university's intercultural communicators and communicators are a fundamental area for the university to become that one and only university," she stressed.

He also alluded to the strengthening of the institution through the visibility of the work of our institution, "there are 4 extensions, 4 enclosures, natural laboratories, community radios, local television channel, so, from communication we must ensure that each of these instances can be articulated correctly from planning to carry all, a line that makes visible our mission and vision , to see how we are articulated like that one university and thus move forward on that path that we have arranged," Hooker emphasized.

Communication projects from annual planning

While the PhD. Hermes Castellanos, coordinator of URACCAN in the Waspam extension, where one of the Community Radios operates said that "these processes are of great importance since in this way the community is made known what are the processes of Higher Education that the university is developing based on the lines that are seen in the territory", Castellanos said.

In this context, the PhD. Enrique Cordón emphasized that this activity is in order to know the annual planning of each of those that make up the communication team of the university "but the main objective is the articulation to be able to solidify and be able to work a communication project that corresponds to the work of URACCAN", said Cordón.

For this first day of the meeting, a thorough reflection was made of the mission and vision of the university in fulfilling the exercise of intercultural communication, in addition the magnificent rector presented the structure of work and coordination of intercultural communication by 2020, the Msc.
