This studio has positioned itself as an undisputed Latin American reference.

The rector of URACCAN, Dr. Alta Hooker, will participate as speaker at the bilingual international conference entitled "Inequalities in Access to Higher Education by Disadvantaged Populations in the Latin American and Caribbean Region in the Context of the COVID-19 Pandemic" , which is organized by the International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (IESALC-UNESCO). The activity will take place via Zoom on 17 November 2020.

This transcendent academic activity, dedicated to the Latin American and Caribbean region, is part of the third edition of the World Day of Access to Higher Education (WAHED), focused on developing relevant and effective proposals for the post-pandemic. In addition, it will begin with the presentation of the report "Towards Universal Access to Higher Education", by the Director of IESALC-UNESCO, Francesc Pedró.

URACCAN, being an active institution in promoting higher and inclusive educational equity, as well as an undisputed benchmark of educational relevance in multicultural contexts, will represent the Caribbean region.

In this sense, this event, involving various foundations and organizations working in the field of education, brings together "leaders from all over the world in order to identify solutions to the challenges of driving success and equitable access to higher education in the context of the global pandemic. The conferences also seek to foster the global exchange of essential practices and ideas to support the less privileged to enter higher education."
