Space is part of the days of reflection on changes in education

"An Education for a Culture Understanding" is the conference in which URACCAN Rector Dr. Alta Hooker participates today, Tuesday, July 14, as part of a multi-instance initiative that promotes reflection on the multi-ethnic and multicultural character of society at the global level.

The meeting will be conducive to discussing the importance of cultural diversity in making the culture of peace a reality. Likewise, good practices on the exercise of interculturality and dialogue between civilizations, cultures and peoples will be shared. The importance of the synergistic relationship between ancestral knowledge, science and technology for human development and sustainability will also be addressed.

The rector Hooker participates in the company of Telemaco Talavera, a reference for innovation and the creation of international networks for educational change; Santiago Uribe, anthropologist at the University of Antioquia and director of "One Hundred Resilent Coes" of the Mayor of Medellin and the Rockerfeller Foundation; Juan José Salado, Director of the Association of Popular Universities of Extremadura; also Anna María Gely, Professor and Professor of Didactics of Experimental Sciences at the University of Girona.

This is the second forum organized by UNESCO and Kariós, an initiative for sustainable educational and social transformation.
