URACCAN Rector to facilitate international workshop on gender-based violence

Monday the 1st. Dr. Alta Hooker Blandford, rector of URACCAN and coordinator of the Network of Intercultural and Community Indigenous Universities of Abya Yala (RIUICAY), will provide a workshop on "Prevention and Attention of Gender Violence in Institutions of Higher Education in Intercultural Contexts", which is organized by the Union of Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean (UDUAL) , Equity and Sexual Diversity (RUGEDS).

The workshop will start at 10:00 a.m., last two hours, be facilitated online, via Zoom (https://aulasvirtuales.cuaed.unam.mx/) and through the UDUAL YouTube channel, and is aimed at anyone belonging to a higher education institution.

This important event is part of a cycle of academic activities promoted by UDUAL and RUGEDS. Dr. Hooker will provide a module where she will address institutional work from a gender intercultural perspective to eradicate discrimination, violence and intolerance against women in multi-ethnic contexts.
