International recognitions of the intercultural community university

The University of the Autonomous Regions of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast (URACCAN) in its processes of internationalization of intercultural higher education and as an institution created to train men and women committed to the development of nicaragua's Caribbean Coast, creates strategic alliances that contribute to the Good Living and Good Living of peoples, in this way, the Bluefields campus received a visit from the Ambassador of Mexico in Nicaragua Carmen Toscano , who excitedly toured the university's facilities.

In this context, the ambassador's visit was made with the aim of knowing the institutional work of URACCAN, specifically in her Bluefields university campus, on this tour the magnificent rector of URACCAN, Dr. Alta Hooker Blandford, shared about the principles and values of the university, also, about the work of the Network of Intercultural and Community Indigenous Universities of Abya Yala (RUIICAY) , where the rector of URACCAN serves as coordinator.

For her part, Carmen Toscano, Mexico's ambassador to Nicaragua, said she was very happy and fascinated with URACCAN's work with communities in the region in intercultural processes.

In addition, Toscano said that "He hopes in the future to be able to collaborate in various ways with this house of higher education"; He stressed, adding that the effort and work of the university is worthy of being known and leveraged in other experiences of change and interculturality, "The key word here, is inclusion because they are doing so by including all cultural traditions within medicine and in the worldviews of peoples," she concluded.
