The University of the Autonomous Regions of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast (URACCAN), in partnership with the Ministry of Family, Community, Cooperative and Associative Economy (Mefcca), held a practical workshop on the aggregation of value in bamboo.

Maylé Polanco, head of small businesses by Mefcca, reported on the coordinations that have been made with the university, so that young people acquire knowledge on how to undertake in this type of business, using bamboo as raw material in the region.

During the workshop, developed in the Sol de libertad neighborhood, in the Municipality of Rosita, Mr. Luis Manuel Pérez Alvares shared on novel methods among protagonists, innovative entrepreneurs, students and teachers.

Dora María Ruiz and Larry Antoni Poveda, students of URACCAN Rosita extension, expressed that these kinds of practical workshops, allow them to expand their knowledge for future ventures.
