The Intercultural Community University, URACCAN, at its Bluefields campus, held an informational assembly with all its staff yesterday afternoon to present the details of the 2020 annual budget and the COVID-19 security plan.

Teacher Luvy Hernandez of the Risk Prevention Committee shared the protocol of preventive measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus pneumonia.

The teacher explained that the plan presented "consists of three phases; the first is informative, in which students are being worked, passing classrooms through classrooms; the second is preventive, taking the necessary measures; and the third is how we will act in any eventuality that is presented."

The briefing was attended by Dr. Susy Mayorga, deputy director teacher of the Silais Bluefields, who outlined the measures being taken by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) in the face of this pandemic. It also urged staff to comply with the hygiene processes established by minsa and promoted by URACCAN to ensure the health of their students, teachers, administrative staff and family members.

As the last agenda item, it was reported on the conduct of a multi-threat simulation. Teacher Luvy Hernandez explained that the drill is contextualized "in a 6.5 isism scenario, so that each area and building serves as an evacuation, this according to the protocols that have been practiced in the university".
