The overall objective of the Agroforestry Engineering career is to integrally train agroforestry professionals with knowledge, knowledge, skills and attitudes in the sustainable and sustainable management of natural resources, promoting research, entrepreneurship, innovation, comprehensive risk management and adaptation to climate change with a gender intercultural perspective in harmony with Mother Earth for Good Living and Identity Development of peoples.


Functions performed by the Agroforestry Engineer

  • Design, execute and evaluate diversified agroforestry processes based on the knowledge, knowledge and practices of peoples, with elements of modern science and technology.
  • Manage, plan, organize and design productive programs and projects focused on sustainable agriculture, the conversion of conventional systems to agroforestry systems, comprehensive risk management and adaptation to climate change with a gender intercultural perspective.
  • Regulates, monitors and registers agroforestry processes according to current regulations.
  • It plans and develops projects of innovation, research and undertakenurism in the agricultural, livestock and forestry sciences, establishing intercultural dialogues with the different actors for Good Living and Development with the identity of peoples.
  • It strengthens cultural identity as individuals and professionals, with ethical, humanistic social awareness and commitment to social justice, with individual, social and university educational values, Western and Latin American, modern scientists and traditional knowledge.
