As part of the day of presentations of the results of Nicaragua's own intercultural community higher education research, which the University of the Autonomous Regions of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast, (URACCAN), is presenting during this week at the International Congress of Higher Education "University 2020", in Havana, Cuba, the vice-chancellor of the Las Minas campus , Leonor Ruiz, PhD. presented yesterday Wednesday afternoon, February 12, 2020, the investigative results of his work entitled "The Model of Intercultural Community University and its contribution to community economies in multicultural contexts".

This is an on-the-fly investigation as part of the institutional monitoring and evaluation processes of this house of intercultural higher education.

The presentation was held at the Fairness and Social Inclusion Workshop, which took place in Room 10 of the Havana Convention Palace, within the framework of the 12th International Congress of Higher Education University 2020.

Professor Ruiz Calderon, in her presentation, proposes that community economies constitute a model of development in harmony and respect for Mother Earth with principles and values of equity, interculturality and reciprocity as an example for all peoples.

Likewise the MA Yuri Zapata Web, moderated the table he discussed about society culture and communication. Zapata Web participated in this space presiding over the table and began with an approach to the relationship between communication, extension, society, multiculturalism, interculturality, university and society.

As long as Dr. Letisia Castillo Gómez, phD candidate and academic director of URACCAN, presented at the XII International Workshop "Pedagogy of Higher Education", the theme: Transforming Pedagogies from Intercultural University Curriculums.

Castillo introduced the topic explaining the importance of curriculum management in multi-ethnic contexts, based on an intercultural curriculum, which involves building theoretical and practical knowledge in relation to the institution making possible the integration of the different types of knowledge, community pedagogies, own methodologies, organizational dynamics, memoirs, stories, languages and traditions of peoples.
