Preventing drug use and family values among young people
As part of the national campaign "My life without drugs, peace and future", which the Government develops through an inter-agency commission, an educational talk was held on family values, prevention of drug use and road education, aimed at internal students of URACCAN campus Las Minas.
Inspector German López Muñoz, of Youth Affairs, emphasized that from the police institution they are working on the well-being of the youth and children of the municipality, so they hold educational talks with young people as a way to prevent situations of addiction.
"The goal is to provide college students with the necessary information about the drug problem or consequences," the officer said.
The inspector added that the work is carried out jointly as a commission, as "work must be shared between young people and institutions, as we are concerned about the situation in which several young people live in the municipality".
In addition, the delegate of the Ministry of Family, Adolescents and Children, Xiomara Hernández, stated that it is necessary to implement the values of the family unit, in order to contribute to healthy social coexistence.
"It is essential to work together to rescue the values the family has taught us and put them into practice at home and in the community," he concluded.
