The University Council of Campus, held this January 9, 2020 in Siuna, unanimously elected the teacher Yaneth Manuela Sevilla Garcia, as coordinator of URACCAN Extensión Rosita, after the retirement of the teacher Verónica Valdivia, who worked as coordinator of that university extension.

The authorities considered that the seville teacher has the experience and capacity to assume, with responsibility, the position of coordinator of the extension, which continues its process of training men and women in the municipality of Rosita.

In this sense, the Ph.D Leonor Ruiz, vice-chancellor of URACCAN Las Minas campus, commented that the new coordinator of the extension will be accompanied by an organized team and with all the experts to be able to fulfill the tasks that the university has.   

Other agreements

In addition, the authorities approved the implementation of a regulation that regulates the use of plastics in the university campus, not allowing the use of plastic on campus, only beverages with material that can be reused.
